The Romanian Panflute
The Romanian panflute is built from bamboo. The usual number of tones are 3 octaves. The panflute
is in g-dur correct. The material is a crucial factor. Dinner Panflutes
are built from quite old (at least 15 years old) tonkin bamboo only.
This mature bamboo combined with the best construction techniques, produces
instruments of very high quality.
To play a sturdy tone on the panflute is not always simple. The most difficult are the highest tones but they can be played cleanly with practice. A romanian panflute sounds optimal if the inside diameter of each pip is exactly coordinated with the player. For this reason a panflute is very individual and in our studio the appropriate needs of each player is adapted.
The second important basis for a dynamic tone is the bamboo cane, which grows conically from nature. Bored tubing loses some of the panfloete dynamics.

of the panflute" and to be sketched according to the needs
(e.g. Design) their personal instrument together.
All instruments are personally built exclusively by me, so that I can guarantee the best conditions for panflute playing for each individual panflute.
The mouthpiece is formed according to the individuals characteristics such as body size (lung volume), lip form, tooth position etc. Also tone qualities omit themselves with it affecting to try you the different sample flutes in the studio!
